Simultaneous interpreting
A real-time interpreting service, usually with two interpreters of the same language working in an acoustically isolated booth, at congresses or other large events, so that communication can be made with only a few seconds' delay. There may be other booths for simultaneous interpretation in other languages.
According to the ABNT NBR ISO 23155 standard on interpreting services, "simultaneous interpreting is interpreting done while a speaker or signer is still speaking or signaling.”
